Adventure Tourism

Adventure tourism is one of the fastest growing tourism sectors today. It can be exciting, challenging, and offer participants the opportunity to learn new skills or hone existing abilities.

One of the more unique forms of adventure travel is disaster tourism which enables people to view the aftermath of a natural disasters such as hurricanes or tidal waves. Examples are New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina or Sri Lanka after the great tidal wave. The most responsible way to participate is such tours is to combine the adventure with volunteering or donating to organizations working to alleviate the disaster.
